Nos conhecemos em um centro de saúde comunitária em Ribeirão Preto em Janeiro de 2018/ We first met at a community clinic in Ribeirão Preto, in January 2018

onde a Lígia estava trabalhando como médica residente/ where Lígia was working as a resident doctor

e onde o Chris estava fazendo um um estágio internacional durante o quarto ano da faculdade de medicina./ and where Chris was doing an international rotation during his fourth year of Medical School.

Depois de alguns dias, nos encontramos de novo num churrasco dos residentes,/ After a couple of days, we met again at a residency barbecue,/

No dia seguinte, nós saímos juntos no nosso primeiro encontro,/ The following day, we went out on our first date,/

e no final daquela semana embarcamos numa viagem que mudou nossas vidas!/ and by the end of that week we went on a trip that changed our lives!

Curtimos o Carnaval em Búzios e no Rio... Continuamos inseparáveis desde então!/ We celebrated Carnival in Buzios and Rio... We have been inseparable ever since!

Em março, o Chris voltou aos Estados Unidos e nós continuamos namorando à distância./ In March, Chris returned to the United States and we continued dating long distance.

Nos visitamos várias vezes, conhecemos as famílias e amigos um do outro./ We visited each other multiple times and got to know one another's families and friends.

Depois de acabar a residência, em abril de 2019, a Lígia veio passar um tempo com o Chris nos EUA./ After finishing her residency, in April 2019, Lígia came to spend some time with Chris in the US

E ela veio para ficar! Noivamos em 13 de Agosto de 2019/ and she stayed! We got engaged on August 13, 2019

e nos casamos no civil uma semana depois!/ and we got married at the courthouse one week later!

Agora queremos nos casar na igreja e comemorar com todos vocês! Now we want to get married in the church and celebrate with all of you!
