It all started at a concert, fitting, right? I was playing a show with one of her favorite bands, and she happened to be in the crowd that night. We didn’t know it then, but everything was about to change. She shared some videos from the show online, and I saw them and couldn’t help but start a conversation. One message turned into hours of talking about music, life, and all the things we weirdly had in common. From day one, she kept it 100 with me; real, honest, and unapologetically herself. She challenged me, inspired me, and somehow always knew how to keep me on my toes. There was something different about her, and I felt it from the start. Fast forward to New Year’s Eve, we counted down the last seconds of the year together, and just as the clock struck midnight, I asked her to marry me. Thankfully, she said yes.
