I knew I was going to marry John the second time I met him. I don't like to count the first time because it was in a professional setting for a photo shoot so that's not really where my mind was wondering. But the second time I saw him, that's another story. I was invited to go to the sand dunes for a photo meetup with a group of photographers and models. We all decided to meet at 8am in a Walmart parking lot and John was there among the group of 20ish people. When I saw him, I thought “Dang, who is that guy? He’s cute!” Not realizing I had met him at a shoot before. While at the sand dunes, I spent the first few hours shooting with other photographers. As the sun was setting, John finally asked me if I wanted to shoot, so I said "yeah, sure!" trying to play it cool. WARNING: CHEESY MOVIE SCENE AHEAD When I was posing, a piece of hair blew into my eye and I couldn’t move it because I had sand all over my hands so John offered to help. He came in closer, brushed my hair back behind my ear, and we both froze. Time stopped. For that moment, it was just me and him, no one else. It wasn’t intentional. John wasn’t trying to “make a move”. It just happened. Then, of course, how the movie scene would proceed we awkwardly cleared our throats stuttering "oh. um. yeah, anyway" It was when we came back to reality that I just knew he was 'the one'. I knew I was going to marry him someday. It took him a little longer to realize it but that story is for another time 😉
