Mike and Kate met at the University of Arizona, two chemical engineers that became friends through ChemE Car and long nights at the Engineering library. A friendship blossomed into love unexpectedly on a first date to Mt. Lemmon to go mushroom hunting. The rest is history.

Lucky in life and love, Mike and Kate now have the opportunity to see each other every day - even at work! Both now work at the Valero Benicia Refinery after graduating from Chemical Engineering at the U of A - Mike as a process engineer and Kate as a controls engineer. They live in the Bay Area and love spending time in the outdoors, traveling, and going on gastronomical adventures together. Mike and Kate bought their first home last year and love hosting BBQs and boardgame nights with friends. When it's not a night in, it's a weekend out fishing, backpacking, or eating their way through a food festival.
