E+Z met in August of 2016. Z knew immediately that E was "the one," and in fact, even told her so. E, usually standoff-ish and generally distrusting of new people, did not think much of it or Z at all. Beyond that, there was one significant problem: they were both dating other people at the time. Eventually, Z broke up with her then partner and several months later, so did E. Finally open to new people and new friends, both took the leap to be vulnerable again and quickly began spending every moment together. In February of 2017, they became "official". After a whirlwind romance, a dramatic U-Haul, and introductions to the friends and families in each other's lives, Z proposed to E in May of 2017. E said yes. The rest is history.
