We're getting married!

The first time I ever saw Lauren was a few months before we actually met. Her and a couple of her co-workers were pushing around a bake sale cart at work, and they happened to come by where my team sat. When I first saw her I thought, “who is SHE?!”. Obviously I first noticed how gorgeous she was, but I could tell right away that there was something special about her. The way she interacted with people was very authentic. And her smile was infectious. As this gorgeous girl who I’d never seen before started working her way toward my desk, I did what any true introvert would do…I got up from my desk and walked away! I couldn’t interact with her?! I would have bought every baked good on that cart. And probably given her my car, too. By the time I got back to my desk, she was gone. I definitely regretted not talking to her. I didn’t know her name, what team she was on, or anything. She was just “the bake sale girl” that got away. A few months later, my teammate, Andres, randomly mentioned that he knew a girl he thought I should meet. He pulled up a picture of her and wouldn’t you know it, it was her! I immediately said yes, and he set up a time for us all to meet up. We got brunch at Hadley’s a couple days later, and my life has never been the same since. Lauren turned out to be everything I thought she was (and more). I can’t believe I get to marry the bake sale girl.

Our mutual friend, Andres, told me there was someone he wanted me to meet. It just so happened that we all worked at Nationwide Insurance at the time. I didn't think much of it until one day Andres scheduled a work meeting for me to give him and Tyler a tour of the Social Media area I worked in. All the sudden I became nervous! When Tyler walked up, my first thought was "wow, he has nice height" and then I thought "shake his hand....keep it professional". After the meeting, I couldn't stop thinking about how I wanted to see him again but maybe for an actual date this time. Low and behold, two days later we went on our first date, brunch at Hadley's. Tyler DOES have great height and he IS very handsome, but I learned on that date how genuine of a person he is. Safe to say, our first date lead to many others and we've been pretty inseparable ever since. I sure snagged one of the good guys and I can't wait to marry him!
