We have known each other since middle school but it wasn't until junior year of high school that I developed a crush on Llilbert. We had classes together and I was amazed at how smart and funny he was. I secretly knew where his last class of the day was so whenever the bell would ring at the end of the day, I would rush to find and "bump" into him just to ask him how his day was. I sent Llilbert subtle signals that I had a crush on him but he did not catch on. I finally decided that I would upfront tell him that I liked him but decided to wait until the last day of school before summer vacation (just in case he didn't like me back lol). I found Llilbert the morning of the last day of school and told him "I might have a slight crush on you." Llilbert chuckled and told me he would let me know by the end of the day if he felt the same way.....and the rest is history. 7 years later we are getting married on that exact same day!
We got engaged in the middle of the pandemic, right after we had graduated from college. Because of COVID-19, our graduation ceremonies got cancelled and we were both upset about it because we were each other's #1 supporter and were looking forward to seeing each other walk across the stage. We decided that we were going to have a graduation photoshoot at UNCG to celebrate our achievements and to have beautiful photos to look back on. While we were taking photos, I noticed that Llilbert kept fixing my hair to make sure it was perfect - this was odd to me because he never really cared for photos as much as I did. After making sure that the lighting for the photo was good, and that my hair was perfect, he gets on one knee, pulls out a ring and asks if I want to spend the rest of our lives together. I of course said "Yes!" I couldn't be more happy to spend forever with the other half of my heart and soul.
