We cannot wait to share this special day with you!

Yes they met online! Steph and John met on eharmony...yes that really annoying site where you have to take 84 assessments to get paired up with your perfect match. Well I guess it worked! When Steph and John first connected in late 2017 via a really great phone conversation, Steph said she wouldn't meet him for six months! They exchanged a few texts here and there over the holidays but one night in early 2018 Steph was traveling for work in Tulsa, OK and had a particularly hard day. John texted out of the blue asking how her day was. She figured there was no risk in telling this virtual stranger that her day...was terrible! He asked if she wanted to talk about it. Anyone who knows Steph knows "talking about it" isn't an issue! That night they talked for hours and John was patient, kind and understanding and Steph knew this was no ordinary guy. She barely lasted a few more weeks before a completely spontaneous lunch at the end of January 2018 and they have been together ever since. (note: one of their ongoing jokes is that we are just "keeping it light" -- which was John's attempt to take things slow for the first 5 minutes of their relationship...) As they made the big step to share a home together with John's two children Emma & Jocelyn, along came a global pandemic. If they could survive being locked inside all together for months, this would be the ultimate test. Thanks to an Intex pool (thanks Kyle!), the infamous "Camp Hoyos" of summer 2020 and the miracle of supervised learning at the local Y, they survived....and thrived. Yes, we eat dinner all together every night like the 1950s and we even have some private jokes (mostly at John's expense). Looks like we made it!
