Dominick and I met the typical millennial way - on a dating app (Thanks Bumble!). After exchanging some messages back and forth we went to talking via text and then decided we'd meet for drinks in Hoboken for our first date. We picked a restaurant bar on the waterfront which ended up being too busy since Dominick was a tad late to the date so we went to Del Frisco's. What was supposed to be a drink.. ended up being burgers, drinks and a wonderful conversation that continued on until we were kicked out of the restaurant since it was closing time. We parted our ways that night with a realization that this wasn't a typical first date.
At least once a year, we travel down to Sarasota, Florida to visit Dominick's mother and family. We use this time to refresh, rejuvenate, and enjoy each other's company as well as family time. Brittany grew up going to the beach so Dominick knew when the time came it was perfect to involve the beach somehow. Dominick started planning out the proposal during the summer for our vacation in November including asking Mia, his sister to sneak on the beach to take photos. Dominick planned us walking to the beach before happy hour as we were a little early where he got down on one knee and proposed and Brittany said yes!
