Libby and Layton met in the summer of 2023 at Lake Gaston in Littleton, North Carolina. Libby was working at Camp Willow Run, driving boats with Layton’s brother, Owen. Layton noticed Libby immediately. Libby was, of course, oblivious. After the summer at Lake Gaston, Libby returned to Virginia Beach, and the two stayed connected from a distance. Their first time hanging out was at a Virginia Tech football game, which led to visits in Farmville and Raleigh, where Layton eventually asked Libby to be his girlfriend on December 12, 2023. From there, they were inseparable. The summer of 2024 brought them back to Camp Willow Run, where Libby and Owen were boat drivers again and Layton made the drive every weekend. After a few moves, Libby found her way to Raleigh in January 2025. Most of their favorite memories involve being on the water—Lake Gaston, Topsail, Virginia Beach. Boats, beaches, weekend trips, and a whole lot of laughter have defined their relationship, along with a shared faith that’s kept them grounded through every season. On November 8, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Layton asked Libby to marry him. With dolphins swimming nearby and no doubt in her mind, Libby said yes. We can’t wait to start this next adventure as Libby and Layton Fulk, and we are so excited to celebrate with YOU!
