We're watching that like a hawk! If you know the opposite of a rain dance - please do that. Otherwise, bring an umbrella and stay tuned for updates.
Not good! Please save the location in your map app of choice ahead of time, or bring a map. There is little-to-no cell service on site, but they do have free WiFi (with great reception across the grounds).
Wrong! Lyft and Uber don't operate in the area, and there are very few cab companies with reliable service at night. Please be sure to have a designated driver to get you back to your lodging safely.
Windy! The road to Evergreen Lodge is well maintained, but very dark at night and windy. We recommend staying on-site so you don’t have to navigate this at night (remember, Uber and Lyft don’t operate here, and cabs are scarce). As long as there's no snow (see the weather note below), chains won't be required.
Yes! That was easy.
You have options! There's a (terrific) restaurant at the lodge that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, a tavern, and a general store on the grounds that sells sandwiches, cold cereal and milk, snacks, etc. You can also bring food and drinks from home and store them in your cabin’s mini fridge. We’ll feed you s’mores on Friday night, dinner during the wedding reception, and breakfast on Sunday.
YA! Evergreen Lodge is child heaven. Playgrounds, sand boxes, sticks, and lots of dirt to roll around in.
Clothes! Attire for the s'more party on Friday and picnic brunch on Sunday is casual. For the wedding, think California Cocktail or Garden attire. Bring layers for cold evenings. You'll also want to skip the stilettos -- the ceremony is on the grass and the reception area is brick and grass. Bring your dancing shoes!
