Like many other couples in today’s world, our story began when we met each other online, to which we later came to find out that we actually lived in the same neighborhood snd had no clue. We connected with each other and instantly began messaging back and forth. We went out on our first date at the Mexican restaurant in Demopolis less than a week later. We hit it off instantly. When we got home, we weren’t quite ready to say goodnight, so we built a bonfire at Chris’ house with some of his friends. After that day, we talked constantly, and saw each other every chance we got. Work schedules got in the way some, but we made time for each other. Within a few weeks, I knew that this was forever. I knew that Chris was the one who was going to finally be the person I’ve been looking for my whole life. We went to the beach in June, along with Chris’ family and my parents. We planned a couple of nights for my best friend to come eat with us as well. That Saturday came and we had all planned to go to Sea-n-Suds that night. We get there and walk down to the beach, only for me to be surprised with a proposal which Chris had planned with my two best friends. There was a bottle sitting on the beach with a note in it that said “I can’t imagine my life without you. Will you marry me?” Chris got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course, I said yes. After the proposal was over, my other best friend, Hali (who just happens to be a photographer), comes running out of hiding from taking pictures. Chris, Danielle, and Hali had planned this whole thing and got as many of our friends and family there as they could. Family which I had no clue we’re hiding behind me during the whole thing. I could have never imagined how it would play out that night. But that night was the beginning of the rest of our lives together.
