At this time, we are moving forward with our wedding and look forward to seeing you! We contemplated pushing the wedding back so everyone could attend and enjoy the day worry-free, but the reality is, we don't know when or if that will ever be. That being said, we wanted to touch base with you in regard to some changes we've made since the outbreak: • First Christian Church requires that all guests wear a mask during the ceremony. • Our reception venue, Fueled Collective (in accordance with Ohio state law), requires that all guests entering and exiting the building wear a mask. Once inside of the reception venue, wearing a mask is at the discretion of us and our guests. We encourage safe practices. We also wanted to let you know what we have been doing to prioritize our guests’ health and safety: • Our reception will now be held on the main floor instead of the 2nd floor like the invitations state (the invitations were printed months ago 😊). The main floor is much more spacious and will allow for tables to be spaced out to abide by social distancing guidelines, as well as allowing guests to mingle more safely. • No more than 10 guests are allowed at each table, and we are working hard to bring the number of people per table down further, so guests feel safe. • Our caterer is no longer serving hors d'oeuvres. Dinner will still be served buffet style, however, people will not touch anything on the buffet themselves. Each person will tell the catering staff what they would like, and only when the person being served reaches the end of the buffet will they be given their plated meal to return to their table. • There will be sanitizing stations throughout the venue and masks will be provided. If you are ill or feel uncomfortable attending for any reason, we completely understand—please keep us updated on your decision. This isn't how we envisioned our wedding (or the world), but we look forward to safely celebrating with you! Health & Happiness, Chris & Libby
While attending the wedding of Libby's cousin, Megan, and Chris' high school friend, JD, Chris noticed a strikingly beautiful blonde from across the room. (One might say, it was love at "Frost" sight...) Being the gentlemen that he is, Chris waited "a cool nine months" before mustering up the courage to reach out to Libby. From there, Chris and Libby began talking daily, getting to know one other, and growing fond of each other. Chris planned a trip from Minneapolis, MN, where he was living at the time, back home to Cincinnati (the city he had JUST moved from), where they would officially meet in person. Chris invited Libby to Pat and Allie Bayer's home, eventual bridesmaid and groomsman, for Allie's birthday. Libby still reminds Chris that he did not properly inform her of the attire for the evening. She wore heels and a dress, while everyone else wore jeans and t-shirts. The next day, Libby and Chris would have their first date touring Cincinnati breweries with eventual bridesmaid and groomsman, Zach and Kelly Mullen, and later going to a Reds game and dinner by themselves. After that weekend, the conversations increased ten-fold between Libby and Chris, and they took turns traveling to and from Minneapolis and Cincinnati to visit each other. Finally, Chris was ready to leave the frozen north and had to make a decision between moving back to Cincinnati or accepting a job offer in Indianapolis. Libby fervently hoped that Chris would move to Cincinnati, but told Chris to make the decision that would be best for his life. Chris chose to move to Cincinnati and (with apologies to all of the friends and family traveling from Indiana to this wedding) says that to this day, it was the best decision he’s ever made. Libby couldn't agree more. ♥
