Charlie and Libby met for the first time in May 2018 over ramen and karage after connecting on Hinge - the week that she bought a house in Dallas and he accepted a job in LA. After several hours, multiple location changes and 2 shots of Malort, they decided to keep hanging out until Charlie moved. Their fourth date was a 26 hour road trip to Los Angeles and the distance just gave them more reasons to meet up wherever they wanted. From the Rocky Mountains to the Oregon coast all the way to the isles of Scotland, the two never went more than 2 months without some kind of visit. Nudged by the shutdown, Charlie moved back to Dallas in May 2020 where they went from long distance to full time roomies. And it just worked, perfectly.
Missing their regular weekend hangs with friends, Libby ordered some mini pint glasses, grabbed some local beers and they set up their own beer flight mini-party. This quickly turned into a weekend favorite, with each hunting for the most weird and random beers they could find which is how they came to know and love Ft. Worth's Martin House Brewing. Fast forward to 300+ beers tasted and logged, Charlie set out to create a flight to top them all. Connecting with local artists from some of their favorite trips, he curated the most amazing, personal, show stopping collection of beer label art highlighting their adventures and celebrating the life they had started building. And since Charlie is never one fall short of going all out, he secretly enlisted one of Libby's best friends and now MOH, Anna Lee (an outlandishly talented Graphic Designer) to design the final can. To say that she delivered would be the understatement of the century. Full of fun, aw-moments and tear-inducing details, the "Will You Marry Me" proposal beer is one for the history books.
