When did you first meet? At a University of Oregon Sigma Chi/Alpha Phi freshman mixer in 2006. Byron was wearing his red Helly Hansen ski jacket (which is still around, FYI) and backwards hat. Libby was wearing jeans and a headband. Our styles haven't changed. When did you start dating? In the summer of 2012, a year after teaching math and coaching volleyball together in Arizona. When did Byron propose? November 2, 2018 Wait, what happened between 2012 and 2018? Law school, nursing school, multiple cities and apartments, two cats, and a dog. Where did Byron propose? In the alleyway next to our apartment, in front of a dumpster (see photo)! You're kidding, right? Nope.

We will be married in a private ceremony at Libby's childhood home in Lake Oswego on September 7. We want to spend this time relaxing and visiting with our family and friends, so we are having three small receptions -- one in Portland, Spokane, and Reno. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
