Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal so Gals break out your favorite summer dresses and guys you can leave the suit jacket at home but go ahead and keep the tie on. The reception will be outside so keep that in mind when picking your shoes and of course bring you best dancing shoes because we hope to see you on the dance floor with us.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We ask that if it is not indicated on your invite that you do not bring a plus one. Due to limited space we are not able to accomodate plus ones.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! For any dietary restrictions please indicate when you rsvp and we will do our absolute best to provide you with a option.

What should I do in between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

We understand that there is some time to kill after we say I do. Battle Lake has some great options downtown in the summer. Grab some ice cream, a quick snack or go enjoy the beauty of the lake just across the street from the church. The resort is about 20 minutes from the church so still plan for the drive, but there will be games and beauty of the resort to enjoy if you get there a bit early.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered at Target, The Market (Fergus Falls), as well as through this website. Gift cards would also be appreciated (Aldi, Sam’s club, IKEA, Target, Scheels, or fun restaurants and shops)

Is there parking at the reception?

Answer

There is parking, but we do ask that if you can carpool, you do. It will keep you from parking too far away and make it easier to get all the cars in a reasonable space.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

There are a couple recommendations in the Travel tab, however there are many other options in the area. Alexandria is about 30 minutes drive away from our venue and Fergus Falls is about 40 minute drive. Airbnb is another great option to check into and so are the local resorts. The resort where the reception will be held, will be fully booked however.

Will there be alcohol at the reception?

Answer

There will be a cash bar during the dinner and reception. We ask that you please drink responsibly and respectfully and enjoy and bar in moderation!
