James Moore first met Libbie Poirier in a college readiness course. Both were preparing to embark on a new chapter of their lives, though their paths to that point were vastly different. James found himself drawn to Libbie's resilience and strength. Libbie, having overcome challenges and obstacles and had a spark that caught James' attention. Their connection was subtle at first, a shared glance across the room, brief conversations between class, and the occasional run in at school events like Water Power Club & Halloween Dances. As James worked towards his degree in Automotive Technology as President of Car Club at Wenatchee Valley College & Libbie towards her degree in Engineering and President of the Water Power Club at WVC, they continued to cross paths. Then, 2.5 years after that first meeting, James decided to take a leap. He had admired Libbie for so long, and he couldn't ignore the feelings that had grown stronger over time. With a nervous heart, he asked her on a date. To his delight, Libbie said yes. Their first date involved doing a puzzle and playing Mario Cart. The first date blossomed into many more. Libbie adores James gentle nature and incredible intelligence. What started as friendship transformed into love. They have supported each other through each challenge which arises, and their shared passion for life, hard work, and church make their bond even stronger.
