We met at a birthday party, and we were introduced to one another. I was shy and didn't talk to him. I thought he was not interested in me, but he was! He started coming to Church of Hope on Wednesday nights. I invited him to sit next to me one evening. As a result, he messaged and asked me out on a coffee date. And the rest is history!

David drove me to a park in downtown Corpus Christi. As we arrived, I noticed a beautiful gazebo decorated with Christmas garlands, red poinsettias and silver bells. He led me closer to the gazebo, and I noticed rose petals lightly scattered on the deck. Then, David looked into my eyes and declared "Lianna Pena, I love you and I want to spend forever with you." He dropped down on one knee, revealed a beautiful ring and asked me, "Will you marry me?" I proclaimed YES!
