A work trip to Miami, a long-distance relationship, a journey to be together and a beautiful child, Mia.

It all started on a work trip to Miami where I randomly stumbled upon my wife-to-be via Hinge. I was looking for a tour guide, and she wanted a free meal.

After returning home, we spent countless hours on the phone talking, learning about each other and about our future dreams. Being apart physically was challenging but thank goodness for FaceTime.

This trip almost became his 2nd and last date after taking me hiking on Camelback Mountain. It was a challenging hike (which is why it was almost his last date), but I couldn’t have been happier to face the challenges with him.

It was decided that in order for this relationship to last, someone was going to have to move across the country. Li is passionate about her career as a pharmacist, so, she started looking at the process of getting licensed in AZ. She finally received it on 10/22/23.

After 4 months of job hunting and interviewing, she finally landed a job at the Mayo Clinic, one of the most reputable hospitals in Arizona. I couldn’t be prouder.

He said it was a double date but wanted to watch the AZ sunset from Papago Park. Little did I know, I would be making one of the most important decisions of my life. Good thing Jason Derulo’s song “Marry Me” was playing at the time. Then, I knew we were destined.

On May 7th, 2025, we were blessed with a beautiful child, Mia. She was a little newborn with a big heart. She couldn’t have been more perfect!

Now we are here planning the wedding and the rest is history. We are doing everything backwards, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
