In May 2024, I received an unexpected call, and later found out it would be the most important phone call of my life. A mentor and close friend of mine brought up the possibility of pursuing Liana Whitlock. I was in disbelief and began praying and seeking wisdom from the Lord. Alongside seeking wisdom from my Mom and close friends, who suggest I get to know her. I began inviting her to pickleball and enjoyed her personality and competitive nature. During one of these sessions, I saw her from afar; her smile made my heart race. That was the moment I decided I wanted to be with her. After a summer of climbing rooftops, hiking, and paddleboarding, I asked her to be my girlfriend. Exactly one year later, on August 1st, we returned to the place of our first date, and she said, “Yes.”
