Mutual friends spent months trying to set up Liana and JJ. Both were skeptical going on a blind date, especially after hearing friends’ descriptions of the other. JJ was told Liana is the whole package- she puts everyone else first, she’s loved by all her family and friends, and she has the kind of beauty that turns heads when walking by. Liana was told JJ was easy on the eyes, loved to travel, spend time being active outdoors and always surrounded himself with the people he loved most. Of course, both were swooned by the description of the other. Only one problem: in the age of online dating, neither had access to the other’s social media accounts. Both couldn’t creepily stalk each other, figure out the others life story, and then meet up trying to act surprised when the other tells them about their latest vacation, or what they did for their last birthday. Needless to say, Liana and JJ needed those mutual friends as chaperones to make sure they had an “out” if they didn’t mesh. Within a short time of being introduced, Liana and JJ both knew they wanted an “out!” but luckily, it was to get away from their friends. From then on, Liana and JJ have been inseparable every step of the way and continue to grow to love each other more and more with whatever life throws at them.

After a year of dating, JJ knew he was going to spend the rest of his life with Liana. The first step was obvious: Buy the ring? NOPE. Buy a fixer upper house together while starting a new job? YEP. It was perfect! No time, no money, and no clue how to get by only made their relationship stronger. Liana started her new job, full of long exhausting days, after a few weeks in the new house. Being the loving boyfriend JJ is, he would welcome Liana home with a kiss, ask her about her day, then hand her a paint brush with helpful words of encouragement such as “I don’t paint, we have 2 hours of light left and that wall isn’t going to paint itself.” JJ was fully aware Liana wasn’t going to last much longer and needed to surprise her with a much needed night out. In order to surprise Liana, JJ asked Liana to come home early to look at some paint samples he put up. When Liana got home from work, JJ surprised Liana with tickets to see Luke Combs perform their favorite song, Beautiful Crazy, and then showed Liana the paint samples. She teared up in excitement, and of course, said yes! They sipped champagne and slow danced to their song in the backyard.
