David and I met at the El Camino College concert choir. Both of us were required to attend a choir or band class because we were in the Applied Music program. My first impression of David was that he was nerdy, asked too many questions, and was very well dressed. He was also very friendly, always introducing himself to people. We soon became friends. I would see him perform in the Applied program and was impressed by his piano playing. Talking to David in those days was always nice. I could tell he had a good heart and was very honest (even if that honesty wasn't flattering). I remember one day we were in one of the practice rooms. I was sitting down on the floor and he was standing up. We were talking about Psychology. I was very impressed by his knowledge. He always seemed to have something to say on any subject :-) At that moment, I felt very peaceful just being there. I didn't know what it was, but it just felt right. Months passed and we started to hang out more and more with other music friends -of course. He added me on Facebook and he started to text me on messenger. We would chat for hours about religion, dating, music, concert choir, and others subjects. He was always ready to help anyone that needed help. I wanted him to start dating. So, my friend, sister, and I started giving him girl advice. But somehow, I started to develop feelings for him. I finally got the guts to tell him, but for some reason he didn't get it the first time. I was upset at him and he didn't know why. I finally told him why. I remember the grin look on his face. That’s where it all began. Then on May 19, 2014 we had our very first date. David and I have grown in this relationship, and we bring out the best in each other. On October 20, 2017, he proposed. I was so happy! Now I’m excited to marry him. He’s my best friend and love. I’m excited to share our unity in front of people that have given us their support. May we be blessed on this journey.
