Our story originates in the halls of White Mountains Regional High School where a sophomore (Liam) would make a smooth move asking a senior (Kayla) over for a movie night. Not having ever been to his place before, Kayla took the path less traveled up the front stair case of about sixteen steps. After movie night, Liam was a gentleman and walked Kayla out to her car. There was a snow storm that night leaving a slick layer of ice covering everything. At the top of the staircase Liam stated, "It's a bit icy, please be careful." With one clumsy step too quick, Kayla not so gracefully ended up at the bottom of the staircase in a matter of seconds. Liam likes to tell this story as "the night Kayla fell for me." When it was time for Kayla to start her college adventure, it was uncertain where life would take us. We ultimately decided to stay together to see where things would go, because why throw a good thing away if it wasn't broken. Liam would then eventually make his way to college in North Dakota, which is when the distance really tested our hearts. Liam's motto always was "One day at a time." Well one day at a time quickly added up to six years of long distance. Nobody would have guessed this love would withstand the trials of distance for so long. Eventually, enough was enough. After graduating from college, Kayla would take a leap of faith moving to North Dakota as the ultimate test of compatibility. Everything was so seamless and just made sense the moment we were reunited. Here we are ten years later planning our wedding and getting ready to celebrate our special day with the ones we love most. Thank you for tagging along for the ride all of these years. We have been so lucky to have the best supporters in our life from day one. Cheers to making it this far into our love story.
