What is the closest airport to fly into?

Answer

Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is 50 minutes away from the venue and the closest. Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is sometimes a cheaper option, but is a 2-2.5 hour drive.

What are lodging options?

Answer

The wedding will be at a private ski resort called White Wolf located off Alpine Meadows Road. The exact address of the Venue is: 2400 Alpine Meadows Road Olympic Valley, CA 96146 Palisades Ski Resort (formally known as Squaw Valley) has the closest hotels to the venue. It is a 10 minute drive from Palisades to White Wolf. Here is a list of hotels available at Palisades: *Everline Resort and Spa *The Village at Palisades *Red Wolf Lodge *Olympic Valley Inn The closest town is Tahoe City, CA (8 Miles from venue) and is on Lake Tahoe and is a beautiful location to stay. There are loads of hotels in Tahoe City available. The next closest town is Truckee, CA (15 miles from venue) and NOT on Lake Tahoe. There are also heaps of Airbnb/VRBO/Vacation rentals to stay in the area. Make sure you book one in North Lake Tahoe. South Lake Tahoe is quite far from the venue. We are not blocking out any rooms at any hotels for guests. It's up to you guys to figure out what accommodations will work best for your needs.

What are transportation options?

Answer

North Lake Tahoe, including Tahoe City & Truckee are unfortunately limited for transportation options. Uber & Lyft are occasionally available, but not reliable. Many times Uber & Lyft will show drivers available in the area, but wait times can often exceed an hour or they may not come at all. There are a couple taxi companies in the area & are worth calling to inquire about availability & setting up transportation ahead of time. There is plenty of parking available at the venue & you are welcome to leave a vehicle at the venue overnight if you need to. We have hired a shuttle company to provide transportation from 8PM until 12AM (Midnight) from White Wolf to the Palisades Resort Village in Olympic Valley, CA and may be able to accommodate a shuttle to Tahoe City as well during this time period.

What is the venue like?

Answer

Our venue is located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains at an altitude of 6,700ft. Weather in Tahoe for September is usually 70-80s during the day but can drop into the 50s-60s once the sun sets. We encourage everyone to bring a nice, cozy, and stylish jacket to keep warm once the evening begins! There will also be an open bar, so if you want to wear a sweater on the inside, that is an option too :) Additionally, the venue is entirely OUTDOORS! There is no inside anything (with the exception of our bathrooms on wheels, think of it as a high class porta-potty). So pray to sweet baby Jesus we have good weather and no smoke from fires because there is NO plan B. This thing will run rain or shine so keep those fingers-crossed we're good to go! That being said, it is OUTSIDE entirely so ladies be mindful of your choice of footwear. The bride will be wearing wedges! High heels will dig into the soil and gravel of the venue so leave those at home. It's a wedges or flats kind of venue, which is more comfortable to dance the night away!

Your presence at the wedding is a present in and of itself! However, if you wish to bless us with a present you can do so at the registry. We have many home items already since we have had our house for 3 years. We would prefer contributions to our honeymoon fund so we can really ball out! I know many think cash is an impersonal gift but we don't see it that way! <3 :)
