Planning to enter Rocky Mountain National Park? Be sure to reserve a TIMED ENTRY! The park is full of incredible wildlife—moose, elk, and more. This visit will coincide with the elk rut, so you might witness them sparring, bugling (a loud, wild call), and experiencing the drama of nature firsthand. Plus, there are hundreds of hiking trails to explore, from easy strolls to challenging adventures! Timed Entry Info: Reservations open September 1 at 8 a.m. MDT, with additional next-day slots released first-come, first-served at 7 p.m. MDT on Recreation.gov. If you miss a reservation, you can usually enter before 9 a.m. or after 2 p.m. without a timed entry. For full instructions, maps, and reservation options, click the link below.
