Travel Note
We recommend downloading the app "Gett" for taxi service - this is the Israeli version of Uber or Lyft. If you place a taxi order through Gett, you'll receive a ride code. Go to the taxi line on the ground floor at exit 03 and show the code to the driver. More info on Gett: https://www.gett.com/il/airport-en/ If you're not using Gett, you can wait for a taxi and pay cash. Always tell them to use the meter. P.S.: More experienced Tel Avivians - or anyone feeling more adventurous - can take the train straight from the airport to Savidor Train Station, and then order a Gett Taxi from there.
Travel Note
U.S. citizens don’t need a visa to visit Israel, but as of June 1, 2024, travelers must complete an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA-IL) online before coming to Israel. With an approved ETA-IL, you can use the e-gates at Ben Gurion Airport for faster entry. Apply at least 72 hours before your flight using this link: https://israel-entry.piba.gov.il/apply-for-an-eta-il-2/
