It's an easy 2.5-hour flight from Dublin, 6-hour flight from NYC, and 10-hour flight from Brazil - and of course, the locals speak Portuguese! Lisbon claims the title of one of the sunniest cities in Europe with almost 2,800 hours of sunlight per year! Also, has the best sunset in Europe over the Atlantic Ocean Horizon.
Please plan to be at Quinta da Bichinha on July 5th to ensure you make all the wedding festivities. July 5th will be Welcome BBQ & Drinks. July 6th is the Wedding Day that will last all night. We are planning a Post Wedding Day Celebration in Lisbon city on July 7th (venue to be confirmed).
Car rental is a good idea. While you can Uber it there or by taxi - keep in mind, since the venue is located in the countryside, it might be difficult to get an Uber or taxi back to the airport (or city, if you plan on attending the Post Wedding Day Celebration in Lisbon city on July 7th).
July 5th & 6th - For the Welcome BBQ & Drinks on Wednesday and Wedding Day on Thursday, the wedding party will be staying at Quinta da Bichinha. If you would like to stay nearby the venue, please see 'Travel & Accommodation' section. For the wedding party and family that are staying at Quinta da Bichinha, check-in will be at 4pm on July 5th and check-out at 12pm on July 7th. There will be a breakfast gathering at 10am both mornings by the beautiful tree. July 7th - For Post Wedding Day Celebration on Friday, we are planning to stay in Lisbon city and for the remainder of the weekend, and would love if people could join. No set plan yet so we will update everyone once we have arranged something.
July 5th & 6th - We would preferably have all guests (who are not staying at Quinta da Bichinha) to book a room at Dolce CampoReal Lisboa, so we can organise a shuttle bus to transfer everyone to and from the venue. July 7th - For guests attending the post-wedding celebrations, please book accommodation in Lisbon city.
We ask that our guests be in “Smart Casual” attire - the more colour, the better! Ladies - leave your stilettos at home and opt for stacked heels, wedges or comfortable footwear as this is an outdoor wedding with lots of grass and gravel. We would like you to be as comfortable as possible. So feel free to bring an extra pair of shoes to change into.
In July, the weather in Lisbon is usually warm to hot. The average temperature is of 23°C (74°F), with a minimum of 18.3°C (65°F) and a maximum of 27°C (82°F).
We would love to offer everyone a +1, but unfortunately due to limited capacity at our venue, we currently cannot accommodate anymore guests. Please check your invite!
Unfortunately due to space limitations, we are having an adults-only wedding. The only children attending are those who are part of our wedding party. If anyone needs help with making arrangements for child care, please let us know and we will do our best to assist.
Your presence on the day is what's most important to us. However if you'd like to contribute to our honeymoon, cash gifts are welcome.
Please RSVP by January 31st, so we can have an accurate headcount and begin confirming the accommodation, shuttle bus and catering.
