In any small town, you run into people you know. You cross paths, maybe nod in passing, but don’t always step fully into each other’s lives. That was us. I knew Justin as Justin Golosky from Gerrity’s. And he knew me as Lia DeMarco, one of the Dunmore girls. Our high school years were filled with familiar faces and mutual friends, and college brought a few more late night parties and casual encounters. Still, we were just moving through our own separate worlds. Until one day, everything shifted when a Golosky sister married a Dunmore boy. And just like that, two circles became one. That summer, everything felt different. Parties at Breck Street and Salico Lane, beach trips, and friend filled weekends brought us closer. On one sunny day in Wildwood, as our friends were playing home run derby, I turned to Kaylee and said, "That is going to be my boyfriend." Spoiler: I was right. And from there... well, the rest is history. There’s a theme here that not everyone may know about, but our most meaningful moments seem to happen by the water. The first "I love you” was said walking along the beach in Asbury Park. Lia’s first Golosky family trip was spent in the sand at Coronado Beach. Justin’s first vacation with the DeMarco crew? Avalon, New Jersey. For the past seven years, we have visited our favorite spots in San Diego, Brigantine down to Stone Harbor. We walked and talked from coast to coast, dreaming up our future, always with the ocean nearby. So when it came time to choose where we’d say forever, there was no better place than the shore where our story has always felt most at home.
