FAQs

The Wedding Website of Lauren Gibbons and Aaron Zaremski
If you have any other questions not listed here or elsewhere on the site, call, text or email the bride or groom and we'll get you some answers. For same-day questions, there will be both a day-of coordinator and venue coordinator on-site who can help assist. Please do not bother the bride on Oct. 3.
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Formal, please! The ceremony will take place in a Catholic church and the reception will be in a historic theatre (all indoors). The bridesmaids will be wearing emerald green.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Unless they're specifically listed on the invitation, space constraints prevent us from allowing your little ones to attend the reception. We encourage you to treat this evening like a date night!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Because we want to celebrate with as many of our loved ones as possible, our ability to accommodate additional guests is limited. If you received a plus one, they will be listed on the invitation and will appear under your name if you RSVP online. If you can make it, but your invited spouse or partner cannot, please let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust our guest list accordingly. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Where is the ceremony and reception? Where do I park?

Answer

The ceremony is in St. Clair Shores, Mich., about a 15-minute drive from the reception venue in Mt. Clemens. Ample, free parking is available in both locations. Parking meters in Mt. Clemens are not enforced on weekends. Emerald Theatre parking is available on the street or the Roskopp Municipal Parking Lot (Red Lot). The city parking structure can be accessed from Cass Avenue, Southbound Gratiot Avenue, or Pine Street. For our out-of-town guests, we encourage you to take advantage of our room block at Hampton Inn & Suites Chesterfield, three miles north of the reception venue. A shuttle carting guests between the hotel and venue will be available.

Question

When should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guests should arrive at least 20 minutes in advance. The ceremony will start on time. If you arrive late and the procession is already started, please wait to take your seats or God and everybody will judge you.

Question

Can I take pictures/videos/whatever?

Answer

Ceremony: No. We have a wonderful professional photographer. It's a Catholic mass. Please respect us and the solemnity of the space, silence your phones and keep them in your pocket. Reception: Yes! Take as many as you want! Send them to us!

Question

What do I do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

If you are a member of the bridal party or immediate family, please stick around the church for post-ceremony photos. We will be in touch if this applies to you. If not, you're free for a couple hours until doors open for cocktail hour! Check into the hotel, grab a beer in one of Mt. Clemens' many fun bars (see things to do), take a nap, you do you.

Question

What's the food and drink situation?

Answer

Come hungry! D'Amatos is serving up tasty Italian food buffet style for cocktail hour and dinner. Open bar during cocktail hour and after dinner.

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

We can absolutely accommodate you! But it is VERY IMPORTANT you let us know beforehand, as the caterer prepares and plates those meals separately. Please, please, please note when you RSVP, or reach out to the bride or groom so we can make sure you get the right meal.
