Question

How will COVID-19 safety be handled?

Answer

We ask that all guests be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend- please see the RSVP section of our website to upload your vaccine information at the link provided. Jamaica no longer requires pre-entry COVID testing. However, we ask everyone to please take a rapid at-home test or COVID PCR test within 48 hours of travel, and to please wear a mask during all legs of your travel. Thank you for helping us to celebrate safely! As you may know, the US is also no longer requiring pre-entry testing. Please also see https://www.rockhouse.com/all-guest-rooms/covid-protocols/ for information on how COVID safety is being handled at Rockhouse hotel.

Question

Do I need to fill out any particular travel documentation to enter Jamaica?

Answer

No; now that pre-entry COVID19 testing is no longer required, you no longer need to fill out a travel authorization document. You will still obviously need to fill out a customs/immigration form, which you can do in advance online (https://enterjamaica.com) or you can fill out a paper copy en route.

Question

How do I get around?

Answer

There will be shuttles to take guests from Rockhouse to Skylark and vice versa for events (please check back on the "Schedule" page of this website, which we will update once shuttle timing is confirmed). For travel back and forth at other times, the hotel has free shuttles available as follows: Rockhouse > Skylark departing at 11AM and returning at 3PM; Skylark > Rockhouse departing at 11:15AM and returning at 3:15PM. If you are interested in a shuttle at a different time, tell the front desk you're with the Becker/Goldstein party and they will order for you (shuttles come quickly so it's OK if you don't plan in advance).

Question

Are children allowed at the hotel?

Answer

Children under 12 are not typically allowed at the Rockhouse hotel, but they will be allowed during our July 21-24 hotel takeover. Please note that the hotel is located on a cliffside and is not very kid-friendly, so you should exercise extreme caution with little ones at all times if you decide to bring them. If you are bringing children and planning to extend your stay on either end, you will need to find alternative accommodations for the nights outside of 7/21-7/24 (we would suggest Rockhouse’s sister hotel, Skylark).

Question

Are children welcome at the events?

Answer

Children are welcome at the events taking place on Thursday and Friday. We unfortunately cannot allow children under 12 to the main reception on Saturday, as we will be poolside without a lifeguard (pediatrician’s worst nightmare). The hotel will help to arrange childcare if needed; more information to come.

Question

How do I get to and from the airport?

Answer

We will provide group shuttles from the airport to Rockhouse/Skylark and back on Sunday 7/24. Shuttles have been arranged; if you signed up to be included, you should have received an email from Andrew on 7/13. Please let us know if you have any questions! If you will be arranging your own transportation, we recommend using Kenny Tours (https://kennytours.com). Tell him we sent you and he will give you a good deal!

Question

When should I book my room by?

Answer

Rooms at the Rockhouse should be booked by March 22, 2022. After that, unbooked rooms will be released to the general public. If you are intending to book but cannot do so before the deadline, just reach out to us so we can reserve a room for you! Rooms at Skylark can be booked any time.

Question

Do I need Jamaican currency?

Answer

No- everyone in Jamaica accepts USD (even street vendors).
