Liz and Beth had planned a beautiful camping weekend in Deep Creek, MD. Unbeknownst to Beth, Liz had been preparing for a surprise proposal for months! Liz had a few different ideas on how to propose. But as the time approached, Liz got so excited and wanted to ask Beth immediately for her to be Liz’s wife. They didn’t even make it to the campsite before getting engaged! On the way to the campsite, they pulled into a scenic overlook in Green Ridge State Park, MD to “just take some beautiful pictures”. While Beth waited completely oblivious, Liz set up the tripod and set the camera to the “video” instead of “picture” and pressed the button to record. To Beth’s surprise, Liz got on one knee after pretending to pose for the picture with Beth. Beth was so surprised and immediately began crying and responded “yes!” It was a picture perfect moment recorded forever. ❤️
Once Liz completely shocked Beth with an amazing proposal, Beth knew she had to act quickly to pull off a surprise proposal of her own. Liz loves to wake up early and go on hikes and often mentioned how she'd love to take Beth to a sunrise hike in Patapsco State Park. Beth not being an early riser was always hesitant to wake up super early. But it sounded like a really good way to propose. Beth had to quickly order Liz's ring and wait forever for it to arrive to put her plan into motion. Ring in hand, Beth suggested that the perfect time for a sunset hike was now since given the time change they wouldn't have to wake up before 5am. Liz agreed and in the early morning just after sunrise, Beth knelt down and ever so smoothly pretended to wipe a leaf off her shoe, but didn't stand back up until after the proposal throughout which Beth was the one once again crying.
