Things To Do
If you have extra time, take advantage of being so close to Washington, D.C.! There’s so much to do, see, and eat. Joseph and I love heading into the city for special occasions and are excited to share our favorite spots.
Stroll the National Mall to see landmarks like the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, U.S. Capitol, and our favorite—the Jefferson Memorial on the Tidal Basin. Fun fact: my dad took Joseph and I's high school prom photos there during cherry blossom season!
We also love museums like the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, Air and Space Museum, National Gallery of Art, and Hirshhorn.
For food, check out RPM Italian or 1789 (both fancy AF) or my personal favorite, the quirky and amazing Paper Moon Diner in Baltimore.
Georgetown is perfect for shopping, and nearby Annapolis offers waterfront charm and boutiques.
