Although Lexy and Vann both attended Little Rock Christian, Vann was two years older and their paths never crossed. It was not until 2017 at a Christmas party when two mutual friends (SHOUTOUT to Regan & Sarah) encouraged Vann to talk to Lexy. Hours passed with Vann attempting to impress her, and Lexy being shy and awkwardly avoiding him. Finally, Vann went in for the, "Hey. Can I talk to you out on the porch?" He proceeded to ask her out for coffee the next day. She accepted and they exchanged numbers, but because she was nervous, she canceled. That didn't stop Vann. He came back to town the following week and they went to Mylo's Coffee for their first date. Lexy nor Vann knew what to do next but they both knew they wanted to see more of each other.
Vann was working in Dallas for an accounting firm and Lexy was finishing up at the University of Arkansas. Distance and the uncertainty about the future kept the two from getting serious, but in March, Lexy was..."conveniently"... in Dallas catching a flight to California for spring break. While she was in town, Vann and Lexy went to dinner and hung out with their friends. After seeing Vann and Lexy together, his friends told him he was crazy if he didn't make it official (So Vann says). So before Lexy left to go back to Arkansas, Vann took her to coffee and made his intentions clear. From that moment there was no question about their relationship. After a year of growing with each other, learning from each other ....aka Vann bringing Lexy out of her comfort zone... & Lexy teaching Vann that sometimes "less is more" LOL.... & above all, loving each other more and more every day, Vann decided to pop the question on his grandparent's farm in Hot Springs on May 25, 2019. (Lexy speaking now..) It was the most special day ever and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you, Vann Robert Berry! You are everything my opposite, but everything I've ever wanted in a husband & best friend! I love you! November 9th HERE WE COME !!
