Question

Are Children Allowed?

Answer

While we know your children would love to celebrate with us, no one under the age of 18 will be permitted into our wedding, aside from the children who are in the wedding party! We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so we can celebrate with you!

Question

*Music Disclaimer*

Answer

Please be advised that at approximately 7pm the music at the reception will change from wholesome to worldly. Please govern yourself accordingly. There will be a mix of American hip hop, r&b, pop, rock, & country, as well as Afrobeats and Kenyan music.

Question

Can we take pictures at the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that during the ceremony you refrain from taking pictures on any devices/cameras. We ask that all phones be placed on silent and tucked away in your pocket. We know you may want to capture our beautiful day, but we have hired an amazing photography and videography team and we can't wait to share those pictures with you when we are ready.

Question

Can I bring a guest or plus one with me?

Answer

Our wedding is a closed event and invite only. We kindly request that you do not bring a plus one unless one was given to you.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outside! We recommend bringing a light jacket or shawl just in case it becomes chilly outside! The reception will be indoors with the option to sit outside.

Question

Where Should I Park?

Answer

Once you enter the entrance of the venue, you will see designated parking to your right. There is plenty of space!

Question

What Time Should I Arrive At The Wedding?

Answer

Our wedding is starting promptly at 3:00. Please arrive between 2:15 and 3:00 to find a seat! Please do not arrive any earlier than 2:15 as the wedding party will be taking some pre ceremony pictures outside.

Question

What Happens If I Arrive After Ceremony Start Time?

Answer

Our ceremony will be starting at 3:00pm. If you arrive later than that, we ask that you please remain in your car until the wedding party and bride has made their way down the aisle. This is to avoid any disruption in the processional line.

Question

What Should I Wear?

Answer

Tieless cocktail attire! However, the ceremony will be outside in a grassy area so be cautious of the shoes that you wear. (Even the bride herself won't be wearing heels!)

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception hall where we will be serving food and beverages.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the reception on social media?

Answer

Yes, at the reception only! Remember, no pictures during the ceremony. If you post any pictures of the reception, tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #themutheeway so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
