We met through mutual friends at a Dallas Mavericks basketball game at American Airlines Center in Dallas in late December 2015. Just two weeks later, it was time for us to return to University - Alexis to the University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner) and Pierce to Columbia University in New York City. Before heading back to our studies, we agreed to make it “official”, and so our story began. For over four years, while pursuing our majors in finance and nursing, collegiate soccer, and life as an Alpha Phi, we supported and encouraged one another from a distance. After endless hours of studies, undergraduate classes, countless soccer games, sorority events, and nursing school we decided to make New York City “our” home… Pierce starting his career in investment banking at Barclays Bank Times Square, and Alexis at Bellevue Hospital. After two years, the addition of our French Bull Dog, Cersei, and many life-long memories with amazing friends in the city, Pierce’s career brought us back home to Texas with a job transfer to Houston. The following year (2023) was a big one for us! After seven years of dating, Pierce proposed on the terrace of his family home overlooking Lake Lewisville in Corinth, Texas, covered in roses, vines, and lemons, reminiscent of an Amalfi Coast veranda (for the bride's love of Italy). A beautiful engagement party hosted by our family followed, which was full of its own surprises, including the appearance of some very dear friends who traveled long distances to make our day complete. We also purchased our first home and added to the family with the adoption of our second fur-child, a very stocky, but lovably sweet, American Bull Dog, Leon, last year. We love our quaint house, our careers, life in Houston, and the frequent visits from our Dallas and New York family and friends. Our love and our lives have been so full, and we couldn’t be more grateful for all that we have shared together and with you. Now we look forward to celebrating this next chapter of our lives with the ones who truly mean the world to us.
