FAQs

Question

Are masks required?

Answer

Masks are highly recommended for indoor events. We will have a few extras for those that forgot but encourage you to bring your own if you have one.

Question

Updated Health Recommendations

Answer

If you do not feel well, have a cough, or have been exposed to COVID-19, we ask that you please not attend our in person celebration.

Question

How many people will be there?

Answer

We have invited 150 people (half capacity) to attend in person. We are trying our best to keep everyone safe but if you do not feel comfortable, please do not feel pressured to attend.

Question

How will food be served?

Answer

At the reception, food will be served buffet style one table at a time. Between each table, the caterer will completely sanitize all utensils and the buffet. We have done our best to keep families together. If your group is less than 10, we have tried our best to pair you with others you know.

Question

When will you have a decision about guest lists due to COVID-19?

Answer

We have sent out communication via mail if we would love for you to join us virtually! If you have not heard otherwise from us, we would love if you would still join us at Riverside. If you have any questions about that, please reach out to Lexy or Kyle and we would love to answer them!

Question

What will happen if regulations don't allow for the full wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately, this came true. We will get married on July 18 and technology is allowing for those unable to attend to join us virtually!

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be following social distancing guidelines?

Answer

Yes, Riverside has followed all wedding venue guidelines for the state of Iowa and assured us that the number attending is safe and manageable for social distancing guidelines. We will have hand sanitizer stations available and do our absolute best to keep everyone safe! We understand if you no longer feel comfortable attending and just ask that you let us know as soon as you are able. Don't hesitate to reach out to Lexy or Kyle with questions.

Question

What is the attire for the wedding?

Answer

It's July!! (So hot!) Please be comfortable and classy. We will be fancy but enjoy yourself in a nice sundress or khakis!

Question

What are we supposed to do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Great question! Kyle & I would like to celebrate our new marriage with a few photos to reflect on this. That being said, we would like you to enjoy a short break before dinner is served! There will be yard games, air conditioned seating, or town a few minutes away for all of your last minute needs!

For all the days along the way
