That was the question that started our love story. We met in high school in JROTC class, and it was Lexy who made the first move. At first, we didn't talk much just small talk but somewhere along the way we started to hit it off. Julian was pretty reserved and to himself most of the time but was always kind. Lexy had a big crush on him but didn't know how to get him to open up more. Eventually she happened to have a Poptart but not just any Poptart, it was the hot fudge sundae which happened to be Julian's favorite. She offered it to him one day in class and that got his attention right away. I know it's funny to think food is what got us talking but food is the key to anyone's heart. Plus, not to mention but Julian has had a long-lasting crush on Lexy since he was a sophomore as she was a freshman coming into Eastwood. After the Poptart offering we became inseparable to the point where we would walk to class together every day. Julian would wait outside the patio for Lexy, while Lexy would spray large amounts of perfume on herself, and Julian would always compliment that she smelt good. Soon after, we went on our first date which was the annual military ball, neither one of us had brought it up just yet but in the back of our minds we wanted to go with each other no matter what. Julian finally had the courage to ask her to the ball and remembers the joy and excitement on her face. It was an amazing first date and was to believe from this point on we would never want to leave each other's side. We were never really official just yet; we went on a couple of dates after and still continued to connect. Julian tried to ask her out, but his nerves got the best of him, he did it by text out of fear of rejection. Instead of rejection, he got a heartwarming response that gave him not only hope but drive to want to be with this beautiful girl even more. However, time was ticking, graduation was approaching, and Julian needed to hurry, or the love of his life would be the one that got away. Finally, during the senior graduation Pep rally 5/28/2014, as it came to a close Julian looked up to Lexy and climbed the wall to her and asked her out!! The solidification to what has turned into an absolute dream and beautiful love journey. A Poptart that open the door to the endless love adventure we share.
