Elliott and I met over dinner one night, Japanese Steakhouse, to be exact. We met at about five o'clock in the evening and didn't leave until the restaurant began to close. We spoke as if we had known each other our entire lives. We spoke about our families, our careers, our friends, places we have been to or would like to visit, and even simpler things like the food at the restaurant. We went on our second date two days later. I don't think we spent more than a week apart, until I had to go back to college once summer came to an end. Elliott would visit on the weekends he was able to, and I would come home as often as I could. A year and a half of long distance didn't feel much like distance at all. Since graduating, we have taken many trips and have shared many new experiences together. Specifically, we had spoke of visiting New York at Christmas time for the past year. I had never been to New York, until we took our trip this past December. New York at Christmas time was an absolute dream. Little did I know, I would leave being engaged to my best friend. Central Park, you will always hold a special place in our hearts.
