We're getting married!

Lexie and MJ first met during college in 2016, while Lexie was at The University of Texas at Austin and MJ was at Texas State University. They’d both made the excellent decision of joining their schools’ waterski teams, and first laid eyes on each other at a tournament in Louisiana. They became good friends over several more waterski tournaments, joint team formals, camping trips to the lake, and country dancing nights. MJ put his mind to it and picked up a few more two-stepping moves in an attempt to impress Lexie, and it worked! They went out for a sushi date, and their relationship took off. In 2019, after graduating from college, the two moved to Atlanta for graduate school at Georgia Tech. They moved into an apartment together there, brought home the sweetest golden retriever puppy, Chloe, and have enjoyed building a life together in their new city. In December of 2020, MJ and his best friend Tim worked together to plan a secretive trip to San Antonio, where MJ proposed to Lexie in front of a huge, beautiful Christmas tree and the historic Alamo Mission. It’s fair to say that they will both always remember the Alamo! Since then, they’ve supported each other through finishing their master’s degrees and most of Lexie’s PhD, they’ve traveled and quarantined together, and they’ve had so much fun planning their wedding for March 2023! Now, Lexie and MJ can’t wait to say ‘I Do’!
