We're getting married!

It’s April 2019. She’s early he’s late. (An aside: I wasn’t there, creative liberties will be taken.) So he’s late. She’s waiting at Abari Arcade Bar in Charlotte. The night turns from games, to a short drive, to a dive bar, to burgers. Logan loved that Lexie was a nurse and could handle a crisis, Lexie loved that Logan could cook. They talked for hours. But the real test came on the second date, because their children had to meet. Peaches was cautious and uninterested, Blaze was eager and excited, they were fast friends and played in the backyard of the brewery while Logan and Lexie looked into each other’s eyes and wondered… was this something special? The third date was tacos and too much tequila and—even though they didn’t bring their dogs this time—each of them felt a bit more of that special spark. They started seeing each other whenever they could, him working around her nursing schedule, and her spending nights and weekends at his beer & wine market. Over the years she’s gotten used to his daily bath schedule, and he’s gotten used to her very specific coffee order. They’ve learned how to cohabitate and Peaches has learned to put up with Blaze’s energy. In 2023 they decided they were ready for Operation California. They packed up their life and Lexie took travel nursing gigs, while Logan got his hands into different culinary scenes. In 2024 they made their way back to California, settled their dogs into their parents' pack of animals and started setting down roots. Logan loves to tease Lex, and Lex loves to roll her eyes at Logan. They eat delicious food, see more shows than anyone you’ve ever met, and are each other’s biggest cheerleader.
