We're Getting Married!

A few months before Francisco proposed he decided that he really wanted to go on a vacation after I graduated from my MBA program since we hadn't been able to go on a trip in a few months. He planned everything, booked the Airbnb and even a nice dinner for us one of the nights that we were going to be in Savannah, GA. This should have been a sign for me to notice that something was going on from the beginning, but it was not. When we got to Savannah we were staying in at an Airbnb right across from Forsyth Park and walking distance from all the bars and restaurants. The first few days we explored different areas of Savannah like any other normal vacation we would take in a new city. Little did I know that this whole time Francisco was scoping out a place to propose. August 20th was the last night of our trip and our nice dinner that he had planned. During the day he seemed like his usual self, but as we were getting ready he was shaking like crazy, but blamed it on a pint of coffee he had drank an hour before. As we were leaving he told me that our Uber was running late and he wanted to take a photo in the park, specifically where a photographer was standing, but he was lucky because a whole wedding party had just walked right in front of us coming from where that photographer was. She offered to take the photo for us and told us she was waiting for a client. We took a couple of photos and then Francisco turned to me with a very serious look and that's when I knew. He got down on one knee and proposed. I was in complete shock and of course said YES! After I came to terms with what had just happened he told me the photographer was actually for us and our dinner was not until later and that he had another surprise for me. We started walking around the park and I turned the corner and walking towards us was my Mom, Dad, and Brother. He knew I would love for my family to be there too and coordinated it all. It is truly a day we will never forget.
