FAQs

Question

Will dinner be served?

Answer

Yes! Please note that there will be no formal sit down dinner. Dinner will be served cocktail-style with stations and passed appetizers throughout the night. Ainslie is an Italian restaurant. Please let us know via text if you have any food restrictions or allergies.

Question

Will there be a ceremony?

Answer

We are choosing to elope at City Hall in Manhattan earlier in the day on Friday. We are equally as excited to see you afterwards and party the night away!

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

While we love your little ones, this event will be adults only. We invite you to join us for a fun, child-free night out on the town!

Question

What should we wear?

Answer

Formal/Cocktail Attire. We would love for our guests to join us in dressing to impress. Feel free to be stylish, creative, or bold. If in doubt, wear that outfit that you've never had a chance to wear. With that being said- wear what makes you comfortable and confident! Cocktail/formal to us means for ladies: dressy below the knee cocktail dresses, midi, or floor length dresses if you wish. Snazzy pantsuits or jumpsuits also welcome. May we suggest to not wear your most uncomfortable heels since the reception is structured like a cocktail party. For the fellas: suit and tie

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We have a block of rooms at the Wyndham Garden Chinatown and the Holiday Inn Lower East Side. Please book by May 15th to receive a discounted rate. Both of these hotels are about a 10-15 minute Uber from the venue. Links to book rooms are on the “travel” section of this site. You are also welcome to stay anywhere in the city! Ainslie is a block from the L and G trains. Other neighborhoods convenient to Ainslie via car or subway: Williamsburg (venue location) Greenpoint, Brooklyn Soho East Village Downtown Brooklyn

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately due to venue capacity, guests are limited to those addressed on the invitation. Any guests will also be listed under your name when you rsvp through the website.

Question

Is there a shuttle? Where should we park?

Answer

Since many guests are local or staying in various locations in the city, we are not offering a shuttle. The easiest way to get to the venue is either car service (Uber, Lyft, etc). Or public transportation. If you are planning to drive, you can try to snag street parking. There are also two nearby garages: - City Parking: 489 Keap St/464 Rodney St, Brooklyn - Sam Dar Enterprises: 432 Rodney St, Brooklyn Reserve a garage spot: https://spothero.com
