Our Story

We met through community over a year go without really talking to each other. In seeing each other in passing, we noticed our hearts for Jesus just in the way we lived individually. The Lord brought us together through placing us in Birmingham over summer break. Along the way of pursuing Christ, he crossed our paths and connected us over the summer. The Lord created a beautiful friendship centered on living life with Jesus. In the foundation of the Lord, we started dating August 8, 2024. The Lord grew the desire in us to pursue marriage early into dating. When did we know? Lex: "The Lord began aligning our hearts for marriage in not only us, but the Jesus family surrounding us. I felt like the Lord whispered to me that Ben would be my husband long before we ever dated, but I thought that was too good to actually be true. Through many little moments of confirmation from getting mistaked as married, to God highlighting in others the light that we carry because of Jesus, to receiving prayer over our marriage even before engagement, we believed that this desire was bigger than us. I'd say I was assured through a conversation we had over coffee about a month into dating. I remember asking him, "how would you use your home for the kingdom?". I remember him expressing that he would leverage that space to invite others in, to love them by serving and sharing Jesus through whatever way the Lord would lead in. Everything he has would be for him. The Lord used that moment to remind me of his heart for people, community, and a calling to do that alongside Ben. Ben: “The moment that I knew that Lexie would be my future wife was one night going to do what my Jesus family and I love getting to do whenever the opportunity arises… rescuing food for Jesus! We were driving to the office, and Lexie was sick. I saw the servant's heart go on full display in how she would love to do a food rescue. It turns out that we had one of the biggest food rescues in one night! Going from 9 pm to 4 am! Praise Jesus! Despite her being sick, she gave everything she had and then some… displaying the full love of Christ in front of my eyes. Sacrificial love, which is what Jesus did for us. In the moments throughout that night, I saw that she would be my future wife, and I’m so thankful for our Heavenly Father’s display of extending His grace to me to let me live the rest of my life with His daughter, Lexie Anne Glover”. With lots of prayer and support from our amazing community, we got engaged January 5, 2025! All glory to Jesus!

Our Firm Foundation

In this season, the scripture that has been our prayer comes from the book of Psalms. 'Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good. It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones. ' Psalms 127:1-2 We want our lives and our marriage to be rooted in the unshakeable foundation of the Lord. Please join us in prayer!
