Simeon and I grew up in the same youth group. We first officially met on a mission trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico our freshmen year of high school.

Simeon and I started hanging out a little bit more with mutual friends from church and we had decided it would be a fun time to go to junior prom together. After we had a great time, we hung out for a few weeks and then made it official.

Simeon had bought me new hiking boots for Christmas and on a nice day we planned a hiking trip in Arkansas over Christmas break. We had spent the morning hiking around Tanyard Creek Park and enjoyed a nice picnic together. Then that evening, after stopping for a cup of Onyx coffee and a trip to Target, we went to Lake Atalanta. We enjoyed a nice walk around the lake and after spotting a beautiful bald eagle we made our way to a treehouse in the park. That is where Simeon got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said YES! We ended our evening with a nice, warm bowl of soup and tons of family and friends surrounding us. We are absolutely so excited that you get to join us as we start this new chapter of our lives.
