As many of you probably know we went to highschool together, we always had the same group of friends. Throughout the years we would see eachother at friend's houses or parties but it wasn't until New Years Eve 2018 when a spark started (mostly because our two best friends were trying to set us up LOL). Nick got dared into kissing me on a very hungover morning on New Years Day. At the time I was living in Salt Lake City, so I went back to school and continued my life and he continued his. Again we found ourselves in Chico on Valentine's Day and we fell head over heals for eachother. I still had over a year in nursing school in Utah so we did long distance, I think we both agree that was the hardest time in our relationship. But anyways, we got through the distance with many phone calls and several road trips. When I moved home in March 2020, we took a big leap and decided to redo my childhood home in Loma Rica for us to move into. After 2 months of a lot of hard work from not only us but my parents and grandparents, it became our perfect first home. We loved having our own space and a place for our two doggies to run free. Fast forward to February 2021 when we took a trip to Maui with some friends and family. Nick had a plan for us that I didn't exactly see coming.. After multiple days on the island where our friends attempted to set Nick up for the "perfect" proposal. We woke up really early on our last day to watch the sunset, little did I know this would be one of the most exciting days of my life. We took a hike in the pouring rain and dark to find the perfect spot on the cliffs to see the sun come up. Nick got down on one knee as soon as the rain stopped and a beautiful rainbow came into our view. He couldn't have done it more perfect... He has always been my fairytale in real life.
