Mike and Lexi met while working the riots of 2020. Mike asked Lexi out for drinks after everything had settled down and Lexi agreed to drive down from Orange County. The first date was magical, beers at McGregor's with a few of Mike's academy buddies and Lexi's roommate at the time. Lexi did not leave San Diego until about 2 AM and drove back to Orange County for work the next day. While at work, Mike asked Lexi out for drinks again, this time with a few of his best friends and brother. Lexi came down and stayed the entire weekend and little did they know, their life together was just beginning. After a couple months of hanging out, Mike finally asked Lexi out and said I love you 2 months later. 7 months later, Lexi moved in with Mike and his roommate (bless Shawn's soul). The first year was filled with so much love and memories, from surprise birthdays to learning more and more about each other; their love story was unraveling before everyone's eyes. Their second year was a year of many "firsts". Many adventures to Mexico, getting a new dog, moving into their first house together, and a career change that would alter their relationship for the better. The third year was filled with challenges, happiness, and support from family and friends that led them to where they are now. With all of these new "firsts", it was evident that they were made for each other and that they were perfect for one another.

After Lexi's 29th Birthday, Mike secretly planned a surprised proposal by using his best friend Ashley and Lexi's cousins, Alex, Katie, & Kanani. Mike told Lexi that they had to shoot content for Ashley's business and that Alex, Katie, & Kanani wanted to spend time with Lexi, even if it meant four wheeling out to their favorite shooting area. Mike told Lexi that Ashley had content she had to take pictures of for her business, and she needed guns and individuals to wear her apparel, while shooting guns and training. Mike challenged Lexi in a training drill; and when she turned to grab a Topochico, he kneeled down and asked Lexi to marry her. By her surprise, that was not the only thing that was going to happen that day. Mike planned a secret engagement party with all their family and friends in attendance to celebrate the big day! Mike surprised Lexi with their friends from all over and her cousins Alex, Katie, & Kanani were in on all of it. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
