We’re getting married!!

It all began in December 2017 at Lee Canyon, a ski resort in the mountains of Las Vegas. Where both Matt East and Lexi Barna were working. Working so closely together, they became fast friends. Matt, already passionate about flowboarding, introduced Lexi to the sport in early 2018. It didn’t take long for Lexi to fall head over heels—not just for the sport, but for Matt as well. She found herself drawn to the challenge, and the exhilaration of mastering the sport. And the more she spent time with Matt, the more she realized he wasn’t just her coach—he was her companion, her best friend, and her partner in life. By the early summer of 2018, Matt and Lexi began dating, their connection growing stronger with each passing day. Their bond was undeniable. They became inseparable, whether they were competing in flowboarding competitions, managing a business together, or traveling the world. Together, they experienced life in ways many could only dream of, living all over the country—Las Vegas, Washington, Idaho, Texas—and, currently, Long Island. There, they co-manage the quarter pipe, where they continue to shape their careers and dreams. But their most exciting adventure began in the summer of 2021. With the wave in Vegas, Planet Hollywood, still being closed from Covid. They packed up their lives, and hit the road in a van. From summer 2021 to fall 2023, they traveled across the United States, starting their coaching business, CCI Sports. It wasn’t just about teaching the next generation of flowboarders, it was about living life on their own terms, embracing the open road, and learning from every corner of the country they explored. Through it all, Matt and Lexi’s relationship grew even stronger. They had become not just business partners, but true soulmates—always by each other's side, supporting each other through thick and thin. Their adventures together weren’t just about flowboarding; they were about building a life that was uniquely theirs. In March 2025, they traveled to Thailand for the international flowboarding competition with a bunch of their closest friends. On March 3rd, Matt did something that would change their lives forever. As they rode the wave together, Matt proposed to Lexi. With the rush of the water beneath them, he managed to hold on to both her heart and the engagement ring—thankfully, he didn’t fall! Now, as Matt and Lexi continue their journey together, they’re preparing for the next chapter of their lives. In September 2025, they will marry in the country of romance, France, surrounded by their closest friends and family. Their story, one of adventure, love, and passion, is far from over. Every wave they’ve ridden, every mile they’ve traveled, and every challenge they’ve faced has only strengthened the bond they share. Together, they’ve built a life that’s a true reflection of their love for each other—and it’s just the beginning. Their love story is still unfolding, with many more waves to ride and adventures to chase. Through all the twists and turns of life, one thing is certain: Matt and Lexi are in this together, always side by side, forever.
