Should I bring cash?

Yes, bring cash and convert it to pesos either before traveling or at the airport. There are currency exchanges in the town as well but better to be prepared beforehand. This is a heavily cash driven town but some places still take card.

July is rainy season in Guanajuato. The temperatures are still warm, it is just wet on occasion. Bring a rain jacket, umbrella or pancho to keep dry. They sell these items in the city as well so make sure to have pesos in case you need to make a quick purchase!
