Beautiful beach! Larger, sometimes busier than our other recommendation of Santa Claus. Food and drinks are right nearby on Linden. Volleyball nets and ping pong tables.
Linden Avenue is home to many mom and pop shops that you should check out! They have everything from home goods, clothing, antiques, local art, and more. Everything you find is unique. No big box stores here! Make an effort to swing by Heritage Goods and Supply on Carpinteria Avenue, you'll find the neatest things! Plus, while you're there, grab a coffee at the Lucky Llama or an ice cream at Rori's.
Amazing Artisanal Ice Cream! Lexi and Carson's Favorite: Honey Lavender For my Texans, it's not Braum's portions but man, is that some good ice cream.
Every Thursday from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m. a portion of Linden shuts down for this Farmer's Market! Great produce, olives, and more. Worth checking out if you are around on a Thursday.
Smaller, usually less crowded than Carpinteria State Beach.
This is an amazing zoo! If you have kiddos, we highly recommend checking this out!
A GREAT experience for young children, young adults, and older adults alike. Very well maintained and engaging. We highly recommend you visit here while on the wharf! Checkout some of our favorite restaurants near by like Moby Dick or Anchor Rose.
Great for kiddos! It's a touch and feel museum. The kiddos can pet sharks, starfish, sea urchins and more!
It's got cool stuff. -Carson
If you are around on a Sunday, go check out the Santa Barbara Arts and Crafts!! It's right by the beach, and there's a plethora of awesome artwork from landscapes, pottery and needlework! Now mixed in there, there are some... interesting works... but all in all the art is great and it's a fun experience!
Great portions and fantastic quality food. The Ahi is really (really) good!
Great mussels and chowder!
This is a high end restaurant but you are paying for a great quality meal! Lexi's Favorite: the Duck (best duck I have ever had, and my family raises ducks!) Carson's Favorite: the Seabass or Fresh Fish Special (the Swordfish was great!)
You can't go wrong grabbing dinner here when in Carpinteria!
Carpinteria is home to California's Avocado Festival! October 3rd - 5th. Worth checking out if you will be in town the weekend before the wedding.
