Many people do not have the opportunity to say they found their lifelong partner in middle school, but Carl-EL and Alexis can say that this is where their love story embarked. Going to Forest Lake Education Center allowed the two to grow up with each other, but it was not until an encounter in aftercare in the 7th grade that proved to the couple that they were destined to more than classmate friends. Unbeknownst to each other, Carl-EL and Alexis had both internally decided that they were meant for each other, but this declaration did not become concrete until October 19, 2009. Through awkward years of dating, summer breakups, athletic dreams, and committing themselves to one another, the couple endured all of the elements that come with young love. But through prayer, love and friendship, the couple grew into the individuals that knew their love was not to be taken for granted. And on April 14th, 2022, Carl-EL knew it was time to move this relationship that he had seen progress from classmate friends and young admirers to lifetime partners. On the eve of April 14th Carl-EL took his future bride to one of their favorites spots and explained to her, that love knows no one true path...but their story is one that depicts this message all too well, but the Lord continues to bring them back to walk the same path and it is time to merge these roads together. 6 years together has proven to be amazing for this couple, but Carl-EL and Alexis decided that evening that a lifetime together has a nicer ring to it.
